How we choose the best casinos without a Spanish licence: the rulebook

The rulebook · five boxes, one point each

Our table rewards neither bonuses nor pretty lobbies. It rewards what you can check before you deposit: a live licence, your domain in the register, when papers will be asked for, how much they pay, and whether they accept players from Spain. Five boxes, one point each. This is the full rulebook.

The table of casinos without a Spanish licence has a rulebook, just like a league. Here it is in full, so you can argue with any point of it or apply it yourself to any casino.

The five boxes

Every casino has five boxes. Each is worth one point:

  1. Licence valid. The licence appears in the authority's public register, with an active status. If it is from Anjouan and expires within the next three months, it is worth half a point.
  2. Domain in the register. The certificate or the register names the domain you play on, or one the casino itself declares as its own.
  3. Verification in writing. The terms say when documents will be asked for: at the first withdrawal, above a figure, or before any payout. A generic line of the “we may request documents” kind is not enough if it names no moment.
  4. Withdrawal limit in writing. The terms set how much is paid at most per day, week or month, or how big prizes are paid.
  5. Spain absent from the list. We read the excluded-countries list and Spain is not on it.

A box we could not check does not score. It takes nothing away either: we simply do not tick it, and we say so.

Why we do not score bonuses, games or speed

  • Bonuses: they change every few weeks, and a big bonus with heavy wagering is worth less than it looks. We handle them separately in casinos without a Spanish licence with a bonus.
  • Games: a huge lobby can be assembled in weeks and says nothing about whether you will be paid. They go in slots and live casino.
  • Payout speed: we cannot measure it honestly. All we have are our own withdrawals at Vave.

The sources

Certificate search page of the Curaçao Gaming Authority
cert.cga.cw is searched by domain or by company. If a casino plays on a Curaçao licence, its domain has to come up here.

We only use sources you can open too:

  • cert.cga.cw for Curaçao licences.
  • The Anjouan public register for Anjouan licences, with its expiry date.
  • Each casino's own terms and conditions, read live on its site, citing the clause number where there is one.

We do not use third-party reviews as a source of data. If a review says one thing and the terms say another, the terms win. That is what happened with Rakebit, whose front page says no documents are asked for and whose terms say the opposite; we tell that story in the Rakebit review.

Tie-breaks and zones

Vave goes first, on the strength of the withdrawals we took. Behind it, the order is by points, and when two casinos are level they run alphabetically: the order inside a tie is not a judgement. The zones are counted among the casinos on points and are only a quick reading:

  • Green: the top two.
  • Blue: third and fourth.
  • Red: the bottom two.

The trophy is won in the licence register and in the casino's own terms, not in the advertising around the bonus.

Why Vave goes first

One thing weighs more than any box: having been paid. Vave is the only casino in the table where we have played and withdrawn with our own money, on 28 August and 2 September 2026, with no documents asked for. That is why it opens the table, above the order on points.

Its boxes are counted exactly like everyone else's: licence, domain, verification and limit, 4 points; the Spain box stays blank because we have not read its country list all the way through. The full detail is in its review.

What we do not say

  • We do not say we have played at all fourteen casinos in the table: we have played with money at Vave only.
  • We do not say how fast anyone pays.
  • We do not say a casino accepts Spain if we have not read its country list.

One review every matchday

We update the table once a month. Between matchdays we revisit it if a casino changes its terms or an Anjouan licence expires. September is matchday 09; the next Wild Fortune review is due after 29 September 2026. And if you want to play with your head on, start with safer play.
