Licences behind casinos without a Spanish licence: Curaçao, Anjouan, Malta and Kahnawake

A casino without a Spanish licence is not a casino without a licence: it holds one from another authority, and that licence is checked in a public register. Here are the four that come up most often, how to search each of them, and what we found for the 13 casinos in our table.
In the table of casinos without a Spanish licence, the first two boxes of the form are about the licence: that it is valid and that it names the domain. Here we explain how we check that, so you can do it yourself with any casino.

Nine casinos on a Curaçao licence and four on an Anjouan one. None on Malta or Kahnawake. That is the norm among crypto casinos without a Spanish licence: those two authorities hold almost the whole market.
Curaçao: cert.cga.cw
The Curaçao gaming authority publishes its certificates at cert.cga.cw.
How to search:
- Go to cert.cga.cw.
- Search by domain (no https, no www) or by company. The licence number does not work as a search term.
- Open the certificate.
What to check:
- Domain: the same one in your address bar.
- Company: the one that appears in the casino's terms.
- Licence number: in the form OGL/year/number.
- Status: “Active”.
A real case: Vave's certificate names vavegame.com, not vave.com. Search for vave.com and you will not find it. When the domain does not match, search by company and check that the casino names that other domain as its own.
Anjouan: the register with an expiry date
Anjouan publishes a public register filtered by casino or company name. Unlike the Curaçao one, it shows an expiry date.

The licences we saw run for a year. In September 2026, Wild Fortune's expires on the 29th, and those of Coins.Game and CoinCasino in October and November. That is why all three lose half a point in the table: you can deposit today at a casino whose licence will not be current next month.
Malta and Kahnawake
None of the 13 casinos in the table holds these licences, but they turn up at other casinos:
- Malta (MGA): the Maltese authority publishes a register of licensees on its site, with company, domains and status.
- Kahnawake: the Kahnawake gaming commission, in Canada, also keeps a public list of its holders.
The rule is the same for all four: if the domain you play on does not appear in the register of the authority the casino claims, that licence is worth nothing to you.
Five mistakes when checking a licence
- Trusting the logo in the site footer. It is an image; anyone can put one there.
- Searching by number in Curaçao. It does not work: search by domain or company.
- Not looking at the date in Anjouan.
- Confusing similar domains: a hyphen or one extra letter can be a different site altogether.
- Forgetting to look again. A licence that is valid today may not be in three months.
After the licence
